What you must ask yourself here, is, are the voices those of the dead, or simply the voices of the right dead behind the tree ( out of sight and living. ) It’s all too easy to imagine such things if your in that frame of mind. I went to give a talk at a local ghost society, and a guy said he’d seen a ghost in a cemetery. I questioned him. He said he saw a shadow move between the gravestones. A none descript shadow, on a mixed sun/cloud day, in a tree lined cemetery…. Mm. I wonder… Wouldn’t hold up in court. I’m not saying you didn’t hear what you heard. It’s just that during the day, noise travels a good distance, and having worked in a cemetery myself , it’s easy to assume. The evening or night would be more concussive to hearing anything remotely ethereal. Another question posed here, is, would a cemetery be in itself haunted ? I can understand a house, or the place someone passed over being haunted from time to time, but a cemetery ? Apart from the earthly remains of the person being interned therein, why would the spirit want to walk there ? What connection would there be ? In saying that, my local cemetery is supposedly haunted. Who knows…. Paul.
