A year ago, I visited Antietam, which is a Civil War battlefield. While there, I could sense the sadness. I felt it very strongly at Burnside Bridge. There's a trail that leads down a small hill to this river, which has this cement thing in the river. I was with my mother that day. No one else was around. I stepped out onto the cement barrier thing, and felt dread. I don't know why. I can swim just fine. It was a sunny day, and the river is slow moving. I listened to that feeling, and left the cement barrier-thing. I walked on it again, and once again felt the dread. Ever since I was a child, I have been scared to death (no pun intended) of firecrackers, fireworks, fire, and fire engines. I visited Manassas last month, and didn't feel anything. Could it be possible that I have some sort of connection to Antietam? Could I have been a soldier on the bridge that day, and died there, and that is why I felt that I shouldn't go any farther into the river? If you can help me at all, it would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds quite creepy, and no one will ever know what any of these signs mean.
It is said that you can feel the spirits and feel their emotions if you are strong at sensing things like that. But im not sure. Mayby someone died there in the war and you can feel that.
